With over 25 years of business experience, Velma currently works with a variety of organizations and speaks at events throughout the country. During her career, Velma has served as the Chief Financial Officer of the Thurgood Marshall College Fund and National Finance Director/Chief Financial Officer for AMVETS National Headquarters.

She has also held various positions with other organizations, including: The American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA), American Association of Pharmaceutical Scientists (AAPS), and the National Association of College and University Business Officers (NACUBO).

She was also a Secretarial appointee to the Advisory Committee on Women Veterans for the Department of Veteran Affairs leaving that post in 2009, is a proud Army Reserve veteran, a 2005 ASAE Fellow, and earned her Certified Association Executive (CAE) designation. She has also been a frequent commentator for CNBC and MSNBC and is published on the topics of finance, diversity, and inclusion.  Most recently she published her first children's anti-bullying book, "Courage in the Fire" which has been very well received.

  

Velma is an innovative thinker with vision and leadership and is known for her strategic focus in moving companies and organizations forward to achieve and surpass their goals. She currently serves as Secretary for the USA Cares Board of Trustees and is a member of the White House's’ Presidential Personnel Offices Women Leaders Group. She has served on various nonprofit boards, including as Past Chairman of the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE) and as Past Treasurer for the Business and Professional Women’s Foundation boards.

Linda Tucker is an energetic, well organized and detail oriented Event and Meeting Manager professional who earned her Bachelor and Masters of Arts in International Political Economy from New York University.

After graduation, Mrs. Tucker moved to the Washington, DC area, where she quickly found her calling as an Event and Meeting Manager. She began her career as a temp with the Maryland Chamber of Commerce, and then honed her skills with AMVETS. While with AMVETS, Mrs. Tucker worked on several national events with budgets totaling several millions of dollars.  She also coordinated international meetings and travel for high-ranking organization officials, as well as coordinated activities for the Congressional Medal of Honor Society, during the Presidential Inaugurations in 2000 and 2004. After leaving AMVETS, Mrs. Tucker opened her own event planning and consulting business. She earned a Certificate in Event Management for George Washington University.

She also dedicated her time to charitable organizations, including her local catholic school parish and becoming USA Swimming Certified Deck Official. Mrs. Tucker is married with three daughters.

Denise McNeill is the senior  relations manager for Velma  Hart & Associates serving as  liaison between the firm and its  valued clients. Denise builds  loyalty through outreach,  interaction, and continuous  improvement of services.  Denise is a proud veteran of the  United States Army where she  served just shy of 4 years in  the military personnel  department of Colonel  Blanchfield Army Community Hospital at Ft. Campbell, KY.  

 

Using her personnel experience Denise continued to  support people from all walks of life including the disabled,  citizens re-entering the workforce, single parents, middle  managers and chief executive officers. Denise has directed  6 national conferences, 6 trade shows, digital training  programs and numerous black tie affairs.  In addition to responding to client needs, Denise also  provides administrative support to VHA clients and assists  with business development. In her leisure time she enjoys  spending it with her family and planning trips to white sandy beaches.
