In September 2010, Velma Hart, an ordinary American citizen and then chief financial officer for the veterans group AMVETS, was among a roomful of business people pressing President Obama for answers at a televised town hall in Washington sponsored by CNBC.
"I am exhausted…and deeply disappointed with where we are right now. And I thought, while it wouldn't be in a great measure, I would feel it in some small measure. I'm a mother. I'm a wife. I'm an American veteran, and I'm one of your middle-class Americans. And, quite frankly, I'm exhausted." -VH
Since that brave moment, Velma Hart has been on the move being interviewed by numerous news media outlets and radio talk shows, writing, speaking and of course working. With supporters following her on Twitter and Facebook and crowning her as the “voice of ordinary American people”, Velma accepted this new role – speaking out on issues surrounding education, veteran affairs, politics, finances, and personal development.
Using her God-given gifts, Velma decided she wanted to continue meeting and talking with others, like her - Middle Class Americans - and dialogue on the issues that are most important to them. With the help of a devoted team and the support of Velma’s family and friends, Velma Hart & Associates launched with the desire to transform the vision of business owners into their new reality.
